With our Spanish partner ARAPAZ, and our combined 20 gardens, here are the averages:

  • Harvest increase from 500 pounds to over 50,000 pounds of food (in 2.8 years)

  • Women watering for 1.2 hours per day (instead of 6)

  • Women gardening 4 hours a day (instead of one)

  • Women grow 3 crops per year (instead of one)

  • Families eat 20 kinds of vegetables (instead of one)

  • Our two biggest gardens yielded over 100,000 pounds of food in just 18 months

  • 38 boys help their mothers (instead of zero, breaking a cultural habit towards women)

  • Women sold one thousand dollars of food after second year (instead of zero).

  • Women in 70% of villages with gardens also report improved domestic situations.
